Get Goofy: Time Well Wasted with Four Fun iPhone and iPad AppsProductivity be damned! Sometimes you just want to grab your iPhone or iPad and kill an hour or two with nothing to show for it except satisfaction. To help on your mission of screen tapping, time wasting app-induced euphoria, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite goofy iOS downloads.

Cool Finger Faces (Free) – While most photo-booth apps are intended to be aimed at that winning smile you’re so proud of, Cool Finger Faces has a different target in mind.  Snap a quick photo of your finger (or a few of them!) and then turn it into an adorable portrait by adding a face, hair, hands, and any extra accessories you want to draw on. Over 180 pre-drawn faces and items come with the free version.

VidRhythm (Free) – Audio sampling apps are a dime a dozen, but VidRhythm goes a step further. Shoot some random video and turn it into a chopped and remixed original masterpiece. There are some truly insane graphical overlays, and even an auto-tune function if you can’t stay on key. Start will silly nonsense and end with an awesome music video; YouTube awaits your creation.

CatPaint ($.99) – The creators of CatPaint set out to deliver one simple function: “ADD CATS TO ANY PHOTO!” And, low and behold, they have succeeded! Drop cat cutouts onto your favorite pictures, complete with meowing sound effects and even–if you can handle it–laser beams that shoot out of the cats’ eyes.

MouthOff ($.99) – A brand new mouth awaits you. 52 new mouths, actually. When you turn on the MouthOff app for iPhone or iPad and hold it up to your face, a cartoon mouth of your choosing will open and close to the sound of your voice. Talk, sing, or even growl and the app will listen in on your device’s mic, matching up the animation on the fly. Monsters, animals, and other strange creatures await your vocal command.
