Halloween Spooky Sound Box • iOS App ($0.99)

If there’s one thing kids love on Halloween, it’s pranks. You probably can’t stop them from trying to scare their neighbors, but you can at least try to keep them away from the toilet paper with this app made for the iPhone and iPad. Your mischievous monsters will love the 96 sounds that come with the app, including beast growls, demonic laughs, distant screams, evil toys, clown laughs, and much, much more. Best part is, the app doesn’t require an Internet connection!

Make a Zombie • iOS app (Free)

If you’re feeling extra festive, check out this Zombie-maker app. The possibilities are endless. Swipe through the different backgrounds, bodies, heads, eyes, legs, and mouths on your iPhone or iPad to choose your own nightmare. Share these weird creatures with your friends on Facebook or Twitter, or even order a screen-printed shirt or hoodie directly from the app. Includes “meme” faces, devils, ghosts, pumpkins, and aliens, too.

A+ Zombie Scanner for Halloween Pranks • iOs app (Free)

While you’re busy creating your own zombie, don’t forget – the undead run rampant on All Hallow’s Eve. Test your friends and family to make sure they haven’t been bitten with this free Zombie scanner. Test the fingerprint of your intended victim with your iPad and wait to see if they’re done for. You have the option of letting the app choose at random whether or not someone is a zombie, or you can choose your own outcome in the settings.

‘90s Movie Character DIY Costumes • Buzzfeed.com

When in doubt, ask Buzzfeed. You can visit Buzzfeed directly in your browser, or download their free iOS app for your iPhone or iPad. Buzzfeed has a wealth of Halloween resources, but our personal favorite has to be these ‘90s inspired get-ups. Get ideas from your favorite film characters and use items you might already have to create a pop culture phenomenon. You can put that white feather boa to good use as Josie Grossie from “Never Been Kissed” or throw on a tutu as Jim Carrey’s nutty pet detective in “Ace Ventura.”

We hope you have a boo-tiful Halloween. Make sure you share your costumes with us on Facebook and Twitter, and stay tuned for our next favorite holiday… Thanksgiving!
